Railway Park, Marius Street - Tamworth

 

Erected by the Members of the Vietnam Legion Veterans Association of Australia (Tamworth) and by the generosity of the Citizens of Tamworth to Honor the memory of those servicemen killed in Vietnam 1962-1973.

The memorial commemorates those who served in the Vietnam War.

Australia’s involvement in the Vietnam War began in July 1962 with the arrival in South Vietnam of the Australian Army Training Team Vietnam (AATTV). That involvement ceased on 29th April 1975 with the fall of Saigon.
